Step 1 — Get the Game
Meccha Chameleon is available on Steam. Purchase and install it on your PC. See our price guide for current cost.
Step 2 — Join or Create a Lobby
From the main menu, join a public lobby to play with strangers, or create a private lobby to invite friends. Meccha Chameleon supports both private and public multiplayer sessions.
Step 3 — Understand Your Role
Each round, players are split into two roles:
- Hiders (Chameleons): Your goal is to blend into the environment using paint camouflage and avoid being spotted by the Seeker.
- Seeker: Your goal is to find all hidden players before the timer runs out.
Step 4 — How to Blend In (Hider Tips)
As a Hider, you must cover yourself in the paint colors of your surroundings. Move through painted areas to absorb their color, then find a spot where you match the background perfectly. The key is to stay still — movement is your biggest giveaway.
Step 5 — How to Run in Meccha Chameleon
Running is risky — movement creates visible streaks in the paint. To run, hold the Sprint key (default: Shift on PC). Use running sparingly: sprint to reposition between hiding spots, then stop and blend in before the Seeker gets close. Searches for "how to run in meccha chameleon" surged +250%, so mastering this mechanic is crucial.
How Many People Can Play Meccha Chameleon?
Meccha Chameleon is designed for multiple players online. Standard lobbies support groups of players — check the game's Steam page for the official max player count. The game works best with 4–10 players for the most chaotic and fun experience.

- Use custom maps to find layouts that favor hiders
